Assassin's Creed: Revelations
It's GI's June cover story. Can't wait for this, you get to play as Altair, Desmond, and Ezio, all three in one huge game, so YESYESYESYESYESYESYESYESYESYSYESYESYESYESYESYESYES.

Re: Assassin's Creed: Revelations
as much as I love this series and liked playing as ezio, you gotta be kidding me...i was hoping for new scenery and time period ( yes its in a new city but by the screenshot it looks just like all the others) I will still buy the game but I feel like they aren't even trying and are just porting over from the previous games...oh but wait I think I read somewhere about giving him a grappling hook, that's new and exciting right? fuck no...you want to give a guy that can already scale all the buidings a grapling hook...yeah yeah so sure he can now get to the top faster but half the concept in the game was that he could climb up shit...has our assassin become so fat, lazy, and old he needs a device to do all the work for him...now all he needs is an assault rifle that you can aim down the sites, a nuke, and a bunch of silly hats that you can wear in online gameplay so at least when I stab you, you'll have a smile on your face cause my hat is so fucking hilarious...damn you ubisoft...heres your 60 dollars cause I will still be buying Assassins Asylum Cause Warfare: Revelations...you bastards

I was somewhat disappointed when I realized it's Ezio again, but at least you'll be able to play as Altair and Desmond as well, which somewhat balances it out.
The new setting is Constantinpole, in the Ottoman Empire. (Modern day Turkey.)
And a grappling hook? well I could see how that could help, but it hopefully won't make climbing pointless.

Seems like they're just trying to milk this series for all it's worth. AC1 was amazing, because of the simplicity. AC2 got a bit more complex and by the end of the game, I was glad it was over. Haven't played AC Brotherhood.

At first I thought this too, but Brotherhood was intended to be a part of AC2. They couldn't fit it all on the disc, so in order to make it worth $60, they just extended the storyline and added in multiplayer.
Now considering that brotherhood had basically been developed, they probably had a team working on Revelations since AC2, which means that a good amount of time has already been put into it, and again, making it worth the $60.
To be honest, I won't be all that mad if this series becomes annual, (and it does seem like Ubisoft is leaning towards that direction.) But they're a much bigger developer then IW and Treyarch, who have been making CoDs for the past few years, so I'm sure they'll have enough resources to make it worthwhile.
Oh, and I was taking another look at the cover, and it does seem like theres a grappling hook below ezio's hidden blade. So palto is right.

Well, it's advancing the main storyline too, so if you plan on doing that, I would at least look up the plot.

Re: Assassin's Creed: Revelations
Well, I got GI's cover story on it yesterday. And I must say, I am extremely impressed so far. And the thing on Ezio's hand is not a grappling hook, its a hook blade. (Whatever the difference is.) He'll be able to use zip lines to move around faster, and he can grapple up to areas where he couldn't get to before. Also, there will be a lot of sequences as Altair, but Ubisoft will be focusing on Desmond and Ezio.

Should I just rent brotherhood? Is it worth owning if I don't care about MP for it?

I think you should give the MP a shot. I thought it was gonna be pretty bad, but I enjoyed it for awhile.
Anyway, I think you're better off getting it used. I've seen it around for like 40$, its definitely worth that.
