So, if you're reading this, it's because you:

a. have been a part of SoFA for a good long while,

b. stumbled across this humble abode recently, probably on accident or through Gamefaqs,

c. are in the market for a new sectional and thought a store with poor grammar skills was the best bet,

or

d. were looking for porn involving people and couches. Ow. You have issues. I mean... rugburn isn't an issue for you? Seriously, ow.

In any case, you made it here.

Good on you. The other people browsing the vast Information Superhighway are all sheeple, exploring the same tired crap they always have. Maybe they'll go read cracked.com after checking CNN for their daily force-feeding of depressing news. Maybe they'll sneak onto Kongregate and check out the latest remake-with-a-gimmick of that same flash game they've been playing for years. But not you. Oh no. You're different. "Fuck the system," you say with a light, slightly demented sneer on your face. "I am going to fuck shit up, and this is where I will do it."

That's right. I'm even talking to you, sectional man/woman. Come on. The only people who buy sectionals are here to party, and party hard. So yeah. Rock the fuck out.

But I digress.

Anyway, the point of this message is to let you all know something I kinda realized a week ago, and then didn't give much thought again until now.

I founded SoFA on September 5, 2010 as a joke.

I made it a real, honest-to-goodness community on September 8.

Now, I'm a man of numbers, but I consider these numbers particularly important, so I asked a friend at MIT to do a bit of crunching, and these are the results:

We are about to turn 1, as a community.

That's right. We can mumble. We can crawl. We can stare at our hands for three hours, marveling at how goddamned sexy it was when we learned basic motor skills the other day.

We are pretty damn awesome.



Anyways, I've been trying to suss out what I should write in this little thingamy.

I guess all I really have to say is...

It's been a pleasure working with you all, ladies and gentlemen.

Here's to another year of embarrassing exes showing up on the xat, stories of dogs doing questionable-at-best things to equally questionable-at-best strippers, and incessant whining about joblessness.
