So it looks like as far as weapon balance goes, they buffed jets and nerfed damage of rockets on them, they only increased range of pistols and PDW's, but not the damage. They both decreased range and damage of the Scar and g3a3, but no other 7.62 round rifles, they buffed the semi auto sniper rifles's range, and buff the 40 mil shotty.

I'm not sure I see the point of the g3a3 and scar h after the nerf... they'll have the same bullets to kill as the other guns close range but with a slower rate of fire and more recoil....

I'm pumped they increased the range on the semi auto sniper rifles...they are pretty badass at medium and fare well at close...long range was useless...I'm a little surprised at the lack of nerfs but I'm glad they didn't nerf the ir scopes (at least for now)

Range is increased, but the minimum damage was decreased. Anyways, I'm annoyed that they didn't nerf the tactical light.

I'm pretty sure the tactical lights of the Sun are getting nerfed, DICE posted a before and after picture of the nerfed lights. IRNV scope needs to be nerfed, if I wanted enemies to glow bright orange I'd download wallhacks Razz

Damage variables are not solid "4 bullets" or "6 bullets", they deal a certain number of damage, and it starts to drop off continuously until it reaches minimum damage. As it is right now, that weapon chart says the 7.62mm rifles kill in 3 bullets up until about 15 meters, the 5.52mm ones already need 5 at that distance. By decreasing both the damage and the range, the damage dropoff should be considerably different than 5.56mm ARs. Minimum damage is also untouched, which means these things will still be able to down people with at most 4 shots, whereas the 5.56mm ones need 6. However, the 7.62mm rifles, in my experience, are noticeably more accurate ( not talking about recoil here ), so this "nerf" will change them from being simple beefed up assault rifles ( though the SCAR-H is in CQB configuration ), arguably "overpowered" by some, to actual BATTLE RIFLES, pretty much the middle point between the DMR and the AR, since 7.62mm rounds are pretty fucking nasty. Also, single shot if your friend, while full auto makes the weapon considerably more versatile at close range, compared to DMRs.

Grenades now drop to ground if you get killed while attempting to throw it
Very Happy Uncharted 2 issued rewards for killing people with grenades after you were already dead. Even made it a special perk so you did this every time you died, trololol...


Do you PC guys have problems with the voice-chat?

I just thought it was kinda funny that they announced,
Today’s PC client patch features numerous tweaks to Squad functionality and is part of our ongoing efforts to make it easier to play with friends and Platoon mates


....except for, y'know, talking to them.

No problems with voice chat for me, just auto balance that sometimes separates us, and that we don't always start out the game in the same squad... however, since the voice channel is in Battlelog and not in the game itself, we can still chat... but what's the point when the game keeps us apart >_>

If me and Val are alone in a squad the chat works "okay". As soon as someone else joins it gets completely screwed up, nobody can understand what anyone is saying. There's lag, stuttering, the sound breaks up, it's insanely frustrating.

"There is a guy on the roof to the left!" --> "T___e i_ a __y o_ __e __of _o __e l__t!"

In BC2 I played quite often on a clan server called ACE-Army. I play on their BF3 server as well and one of them told me that auto-balance is messed up at the moment. Maybe it was fixed, haven't played BF3 in 2 weeks or so. Good news anyway, more equal games is good.

If my memory serves me correctly from other multi-platform games then I'd say the console patch will be out within a week to 2 weeks time.

Patch has to get the go ahead from sony and microsoft I think, hence the week or two delay.

The tactical light and IRNV scope nerfs were not in this patch.

Funnily enough, a widespread bug on the PC version sometimes makes the screen flicker green or orange for like a second. It happens maybe once every three games or so. I pretend it's my terminator CPU getting interference from futuristic microwave weapons.
