Our good friend Fuzzy has been cheating in BF3. He made a topic spilling the proverbial beans:

Now before everyone blows up and starts a flame war let me state a few things first I have already been globally banned from servers meaning I'll never be able to play this game again. Secondly yes I was a competitive player I didn't use it in Matches/Scrims now does that make any difference not really but I guess that is my solace, anyways here it goes.

Now I used a hack called Catalyst-Hax it hadn't been detected by PB for a very long time nor had it been detected by CGC I can't confirm or deny that it was detected by the competitive anti cheat program UAC or not but from what I heard other users say, that no it wasn't detectable (yes other comp players use it and yes UAC is worthless). Now this very cheap program only costed me 10 dollars for only a week of it, meaning for only 10 dollars I could play like a professional player dominating servers and just have one hell of a fun time. Before this I would get banned from servers for "cheating" but those were when I hadn't even heard about the cheat yet.

After a day or two of just general beasting some of the people on my friends list started to notice that hey Phuzz is beasting a lot more then he used and is now pulling off these insane shots that no one else can. It even got to the point where one of my friends (although not sure if we are still friends or not) asked me in a private chat if I really was cheating or I just decided to start playing good. I of course said no not only to keep what I was doing safe but to face the disgrace from not only my clan but people I've been playing with for a very long time and I've grown to know relatively well.


Advance forward a few days and I log on to see that I'm globally banned by EB (Even Balance the developers of PB) now if you are banned by EB that means you have no chance of appealing it, its final if the devs ban you there is no coming back from it. Following my ban ten other people from the community that I was subscribed to were banned within a few hours obviously the hack was finally detected but I would like to point out not by the Anti Cheat program itself but instead by the developers. When I realized there was no chance of me coming back I obviously tried to cover it up and say I was tired of BF3 and I think I was done (which I partly am) this was an incredibly stupid mistake because as stated a few of my friends had already suspected something fishy I log off to go to work and when I come back I'm kicked from all of the platoons I'm in (except for the two that are never monitored) and immediately met with questions of why/how could you do this/I ****ing knew it.

I did my best to explain and it certainly wasn't the greatest reasoning but I guess in the end it was pure curiosity but whatever what is done is done.

Now do I regret what I did? Yes I've ruined a lot of friendships I have had for a long time and lost all respect my team had for me. Do I ever plan on hacking again? No to be honest for ten dollars its not really worth losing that many friends (yea yea troll me whatever but when you play on a competitive team daily you sort of bond with the people you play with) and all of there respect. Also I have always been the person who hated the people who always said "all comp players are cheaters" that is absolutely not true there are good players out there legit good players that stomp anyone in there path. To be honest I would never have done it if I had known what the consequence's would be but I guess that is all life is a learning experience.


Now this was mainly for me to share my "story" you can hate troll comment whatever but just know this PunkBuster is extremely useless for what its meant to do I would honestly give an estimate that around 30-40 percent of the community does hack in some way or another and compared to that estimate PunkBuster is barely making a scratch on the surface.

p.s. The comp team H3LL are all legitimate players so I don't want anyone getting that idea I have played with them for a while now and I can say with confidence that they are all legitimate players.
