we need more people on KZ3

I think its just me and Calhoun still playing this.

Multiplayer is awesome and balanced, no lag whatsoever, and its pretty active. Some abilities like Disguise and the ability to revive yourself are kind of eh, but no big problem if you take a few precautions. ability points system lets you unlock abilities you want instead of a set lock list. Only reason I can see is that it can be a twitchfest, but only sometimes.


so why are so many people turned off with this game?

People went on hatin' 'cause it's P2P. I found it hilarious 'cause I never had lagspikes in the open beta. It was actually smoother than BC2... LOL.

But yeah I WOULD buy it, but I couldn't, just too many good games being released at the same time, I already had Mass Effect 2 and Dragon Age 2 ( and Killzone 3 ) knocked off my list in favor of LBP2, a $50 PSN card ( which I might buy this week or the next if fate allows me to ), and then LA Noire & Brink next month. And then saving whatever is left to compliment my PC...

It's actually gotten smoother, beazel.

Before Crysis 2 came out there were a lot of rambos, but most of them have switched to that I guess, because I've been seeing a lot more teamwork.

The only time I've gotten pissed off was when the entire enemy team were using disguise. (This meant we couldn't figure out who was who just by looking.) So we would spray and melee eachother, but they still managed to spawn rape us.

Otherwise I think this game is only going to get better.

Are snipers a problem on some of the larger maps? Not talking about the invisible camping marksmen, but snipers in general annoy me, it's like a class designed to bog down the gameplay in almost every game...

Usually not, they're easy to flank. You'll only see them on Guerilla Warfare/TDM for the most part. Otherwise they won't be a problem.

And with Warzone, each time the mode changes, the snipers need to move too, so they're vulnerable then as well.

Nyah then again I don't think I'll get Killzone 3. Unless Brink ends up sucking. Then just maybe I'll get it, but LA Noire will be a priority.

I love dark moody settings and themes in just about every medium ...except video games. I loved KZ2, sure, but it still depressed me, lol.
Far Cry 2 and BC2 are sunny and upbeat, and BRINK looks to be the same, I prefer that in a game if I'm going to be playing it for longer periods.

I don't know, I just really didn't like it from the demo. KZ2 was great, like an old school FPS. I just hated the direction KZ3 took, it CODified things. It seems okay but there are too many better shooters out this year, Crysis 2, BF3, Red Orchestra 2 and RAGE to name just a few.

I might end up picking it some time down the road, but as of now im content playing kz2. And I also just picked up l4d2 and most of my time goes there now anyways.

I was immediately turned off after realising that I had to aim at all of my teammates to realise if they were my actual teammates or not every time I ran past them, (due to infiltrators) that slowed everything down.

Yeah at least in KZ2 they worked as a disguise and not as an identical holographic copy of one of your teammates.

Well, Dream, most of the infiltrators are actually pretty stupid now. They almost always do the following:

-Use it right in front of you and try to get behind you.
-Use it, and follow a teammate or lead the way for them.
-Go for a melee and miss, and then get shot down.
-Use it with a search and retrieve objective. (This doesn't work because the location is always on the radar.)
-Overall just act stupid and blow their cover.

They also don't appear on your radar as a green dot, so if you see somebody who you think may be an infiltrator, just look at the radar and if there isn't a green dot gun them down.

And with the tactitian's main ability, even disguised enemies will be marked for you and your teammates.

I've only seen two infiltrators who know how to use disguise correctly.

Beazel, in the last 10 half hour matches I've played, I've only gotten killed by snipers about 3 or 4 times.

Again, only problem I can think of with this multiplayer is the amount of maps, and there are more coming.

I really dislike paying for map packs. Those are almost as expensive as COD's if you take the cost/map proportion. And not only that, but those really split up the community. Don't forget that while there are people that simply don't bother buying them ( like me ), there are many people in the world who simply cannot buy the freaking thing 'cause their country has no access to the PSStore.

We're not even talking of a complete new experience like BC2 Vietnam, we're talking about continuity on the original game's experience. Can you imagine if every VIP Map Pack was paid instead? That's easily paying 7x $2.49 or even $2.99, perhaps more for MP7 since there were 4 maps instead of 2. And I'm going easy on EA's pricing, too.

Well the next one is going to have two and so does the first one. One Guerilla Warfare, one Warzone map will be on the new one.

The two that are out so far are 5$ each. They will be free for PS+ Subscribers, so thats a nice bonus. I think that's reasonable but they could give us at least one more map in each of them.

All I really want them to do is to make each map work for each mode. There are a good amount of maps but some can't be played on all three modes.
