Oh hey, everyone. You stumbled back upon this. I never really wrapped up the revamped site I promised! That's okay though, I think we all moved on. Some truly lasting friendships and a whole fuckton of drama were developed here in a nice slushy 2:3 ratio. Should you care to find me someday, I'm on Steam. Search "bigglesbringsdanoize" and you should bump into my account. Happy travels, stranger!

Rumor? I thought it was pretty damn clear when Valve said the PS3 version of Portal would have Steam, and that being exactly why PC and PS3 will be able to play with eachother.

Steam on PS3? 45

Hell naw!

The reason PS3 and PC are going to play with eachother is because Steam should update both versions at the same time, thus making them 100% compatible. Just because it's a different platform doesn't mean it's impossible, just look at the Mac version of TF2, 100% compatible with PC.
Whereas without Steam, a patch must first go thru the Sony's QA for every region ( America/Europe/Asia ) before being released in each respective region, which is kind of a lenghty process.

Xbox gits no Steam 'cause Microsoft think they're too good to have Steam on their console. Steam is also why Gabe Newell went from saying that "The PS3 is a total disaster on so many levels" to "Steam [...] will make the PS3 version of Portal 2 the best version on any console."
