Killing Floor - STEAM

So I've had Steam for a year or so but never really used it. Today, out of BC2 withdrawal, I decided to look for an FPS. Since my PC gaming skills are horrible I didn't really want to play competitive MP, but after seeing a couple of YouTube videos of Killing Floor in the past I decided to get it.

I don't know if any of you have played it, but it's a British survival horror co-op FPS where you choose different classes, buy guns as you go and fight hordes of monsters and zombies. The maps are non-linear so you're free to decide where to fight, hide, weld doors etcetera. It's pretty cool and satisfies my simple needs, lol. Also I think there's a map editor.

I don't have any friends on Steam but it'd be cool to play with you guys. I'm not even sure how to add friends, haha.

Oh, and there's that guest pass thing, not sure how it works but it says I can let a friend play the game for a period of time without having to buy it.

I think Killing Floor is just a poor man's left 4 dead to be honest. I was considering getting it as it was on sale but decided not to.

Awesome, I suck at keyboard and mouse, so I'll need all the help I can get Faith.

I downloaded motionjoy, or whatever it's called, and got my PS3 controller to work for PC, but I can't get it to work properly in Killing Floor, the right thumbstick won't let me look around.

I'm not much of a pc gamer ( I really enjoyed unreal tournament 2004 though) but I have friends that play pc fps all the time, so I'll pass along any knowledge I get.

Played a few rounds of co-op with randoms today, it was really fun, they worked as a team, healing each other and covering everyones backs.

I think you can play up to 6 players at once against the monsters/zombies.

Also, you can level up your character in single player, which is good.

Edit: Lol, just noticed there's an official Portal 2 map.

I don't understand why your so confused.
Dead is dead, therefore he is a ghost and only appears to the people that he wants to see him.
obviously, sub consciously he didn't want you to add him, so he was unable to reveal himself to you.
Also faith, take two screenies, One of that error message, and one of Dead's FR or him on your friends list.
put them side by side, caption it, then post on the iternetz for massive lulz

If you're a weirdo like me and actually prefer playing FPSs with a controller instead of mouse and kb I recommend MotioninJoy.
