These are the classes. Except, the Assault character (to the left) apparently no longer exists, but has been switched out for a black guy, right?

At first he's white, then they suddenly change him to black, as if someone at DICE went, "Holy shit Björn, we forgot to add a black guy! Fuck, can you scrap the Chuck Norris Assault and make him look like that black guy from 'The Unit'?"

I thought this model was always there. I picked him as soon as I bought BF3. I didn't see a switch. I just saw that he was a token. I wish they had one for all classes, but it is what it is.

BC1 & 2 being the exceptions, the black guy is nearly always support, and the highest ranked military person you meet ( who gets to act in the field and not sit around in an office like a sissy ) is also a black guy. The Sarge in BC1 & 2 was black, Cole ( the CO in BF3 ) is also black, loads of movies are like this. In BF3 COOP, whoever gets the M249 is the black guy, in BF2, US Support was a black guy.

Actually, scratch that, BC2 was NOT an exception, in BC2 Vietnam, Medic/Support WAS A BLACK GUY.

So it was really surprising for me to see that assault is finally the token black guy for once. The Recon/Sniper type class is yet to be one, though.

I wonder how long it will be before they start adding a female to the character list....and also...you get to change your camouflage but why wouldn't they make it so you could customize your soldier...though a black Russian would be kinda funny

As far as I know of, women don't serve infantry combat roles in the US or Russia. Despite what movies may lead you to believe, there are no sexy Russian blondes in the Spetsnaz XD.
