Why the hell do I enjoy this game?

So here's the deal.

Homefront is basically BC2 with CoD combat.

Logically, I would hate this game as much as I hate MW2, Black Ops, and the like.

Yet, for some reason, Homefront is the most fun I've had with a shooter since I first started playing BC2.

The unlocks are passively fun, at best. Things like the Phosphorus airstrike amused me for a day or two, but in the grand scheme of things, are so underpowered they might as well be useless. The only BP reward to be found in this game that is even remotely as cheap as a CoD killstreak is any of the helicopters, but I don't enjoy driving/gunning for ANY of the vehicles here.

The weapons feel like BB guns. Inaccurate, weak. They don't even make cool noises. The only weapons with any real punch are the sniper rifles, and even they have scopes that are imprecise at best.

The controls feel... I can't come up with a good term for it, but "squishy" is reasonably accurate. Aiming is stiff, and moving just feels like you're slowly plodding along.

I can't come up with a reason why I like this game.

But I do.

I want to trade this in.

But every time I try to, I play a match, realize I had fun with it, and say "well, I can't trade it in now."

It's a great game, the matchmaking is fixed, I no longer get split up with my friends and am always in the same team, choppers can rule the small maps but if you have a rhino at your disposal then that can easily take it out. It's a very balanced shooter and not messed up Skybro.

It hasn't ever frozen on me, really. Getting into a match can be tricky, because of the way the matchmaking is, but no freezing so far.
